At the age of fifteen, 3 boys started a band called Rush in Willowdale, Toronto, Canada in the Spring of 1968. And now 40 years later, Rush is on tour, selling tickets to sold out concert events, still going strong and continuing to uphold recognition as Canada's finest hard rock export.

Rush History
Rush is the greatest rock band of all time which includes 3 amazing musicians. Geddy Lee (base/vocalist), Alex Lifeson (guitar) and Neil Peart (drums). After finally coming up with the name RUSH, performing in coffee shops, changing band members and band names, by 1973 they would release their fist single “Not Fade Away” and “You Can’t Fight It”. Not one record company in Canada would produce their music so Rush came up with their own record company called Moon Records. Today this record is very rare and worth a fortune if you’re lucky enough to have one!
Their first album “Rush” was created in 1974 and they proceeded to tour Canada. They still were not well known until one of their albums made it’s way down to a radio station in Cleveland where Mercury Records helped Rush release their music world wide and Rush started touring the U.S. that same year! From there on more unique sounds were created and Rush sold out tickets to their concerts playing their finest creations, “Fly By Night”, "By-Tor & the Snow Dog" "2112", "All The World's A Stage", "A Farewell To Kings", "Closer To The Heart", "The Spirit of Radio" and many more!
After separating around 1977 (due to deaths in Peart’s family), the three marvel musicians reunited in 2002 only to create more miracle sounds and tour from one sold out venue to the next! After all these years Rush has been recognized as the most promising group of the year (1974), Group of the year (1977, 1978), Best Heavy Metal Album (1991), Best album cover (1991,1992), Best Hard Rock Album (1992) and was welcomed into the Hall of Fame (1993) As well as the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (1994).
